Star Citizen Annual Event Calendar
Wonder what 2026 has in store for Star Citizen? Wonder no more! See below for an
overview of Star Citizen events and activities that take place throughout the
year.
The Red Festival is a lively UEE holiday celebrated in late
January
or early February, rooted in old Earth lunisolar traditions that
traveled with humanity during the Colonial Expansion and took
hold
across the stars. Today it’s celebrated with lucky red and gold
attire, long symbolic foods, and gilded red envelopes filled
with
fortune—or credits—often hidden for fate to uncover. Even the
Banu
join in, stashing red envelopes of their own in honor of Cassa,
the
Patron of Luck.
Coramor is a UEE holiday celebrated on February 11, inspired by
the
tragic love story of Yuri Ilyin, who vanished in SEY 2486 while
trying to reach his lover Corazon Tan beyond a collapsed jump
point.
Remembered through the vid Coramor and Yuri’s final message
ending
in “...amor…”, the day is marked by exchanging gifts and comms,
romantic travel, and messages sent into space for new or lost
love,
with pink and black as its signature colors.
Stella Fortuna is a UEE holiday celebrated on March 15 that
honors
good fortune, bold risks, and new beginnings, rooted in
humanity’s
against-the-odds success in colonizing Mars. Marked by gold and
green, the day features feasting, fireworks, parades, and
carnivals—especially on Mars—where people toast the stars,
launch
new ventures, and tempt fate in hopes of luck and success.
Triggerfish is a UEE holiday celebrated on April 1, dedicated to
pranks, hoaxes, and good-natured trickery, punctuated by the cry
of
“Triggerfish!” once a joke lands. The name dates to the 2600s,
when
Borea locals convinced visitors a fake fourth planet existed in
the
Magnus system—a ruse so widespread the UEE had to debunk it,
turning
“Triggerfish” into both a holiday name and a synonym for the
easily
fooled.
Invictus Launch Week, also known as Fleet Week, is held during
the
last week of May to celebrate the start of the UEEN recruiting
year
and the graduation of new officers and pilots. Originating in
SEY
2542 during the First Tevarin War as a system-spanning
recruitment
effort centered on Invictus Base on Mars, it was formalized as
an
annual event in 2581 and continues today as a major UEE Navy
celebration. Drake hosts a competing event at a nearby venue.
Over half a millennium since First Contact with the Banu,
Humanity
continues to honor the extraterrestrials who have helped shape
our
destiny among the stars.
Join us as we celebrate Alien Week with Esperia’s first cargo
hauler, otherworldly ship paints, a gastronomic contest, and Bar
Citizen events in each of our home cities around the world.
The Foundation Festival is a month-long UEE civic program held
each
July that encourages Citizens and civilians to volunteer with
local
and imperial organizations. Proposed in SEY 2861, it promotes
community involvement through service projects, mentorships, and
cleanup efforts, with volunteer work also counting toward
Citizenship qualifications.
Show your support for your favorite flyable or drivable vehicles
across eight divisions by submitting original creations to the
Community Hub or taking them out for a spin. Vote and share your
favorite entries to help them reach the Sweet Sixteen, unlocking
free test flights from August 26 to September 2, with special
in-game paints for the final four and a championship pennant for
the
2955 winner.
Talk Like a Pirate Day returns with a tongue-in-cheek celebration
of
all things piratical across the ’verse. The festivities
encourage
players to embrace a bit of roguish flair and high-seas humor.
To
mark the occasion, Pirate Swarm in Arena Commander takes center
stage, offering daring crews a chance to earn the infamous
pirate
Gladius.
Day of the Vara is a UEE holiday observed each year on October
27,
blending public festivals and private remembrance to honor the
dead,
marked by black-and-green decorations, costumes, and the sharing
of
eerie spacefaring tales. It originated after the mysterious 2557
disappearance of the exploration ship Vara in the Hades system
and
has since become a day that balances celebration of life with
the
macabre, officially recognized as a holiday in 2595.
CitizenCon is Star Citizen’s annual community convention,
bringing
players and developers together to celebrate the game and share
what
lies ahead. The event features major reveals, developer panels,
gameplay showcases, and key announcements that often shape the
future direction of the ’verse.
The Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE) is an annual UEE
spacecraft
exhibition where manufacturers unveil new ships and offer
special
sales. Founded in 2670, the event is now permanently hosted on
Severus in the Kiel system and typically runs for ten days, with
satellite events and special Whitley’s Guide episodes helping
bring
the expo to audiences across the ’verse.
Luminalia is a holiday celebrated each year on December 22 by
both
Humans and Banu, centered on gift-giving, glowing lights, shared
food and drink, and communal gatherings. Originating from the
Banu
Glow Festival tsikti efanga, it evolved into a Human-Banu
tradition
following early interstellar contact and was officially added to
the
UEE calendar in 2557, with green and red as its signature
colors.
